NFL Week 2 Picks-See What Had Happened Was...

Week One is in the books ladies and gentlemen, and after one week of play, what exactly have we learned? Pittsburgh scored only 2 points in the first half of their game. Two points that were actually scored by the Titans. What is going on in Pittsburgh? RGIII was rusty although you will never get him to say that rust had anything to do with the loss to Philly. I picked Cleveland to beat the Dolphins for no apparent reason. The Saints continue to roast the Falcons in the Superdome. Tom Brady misses Wes Welker even though he still pulled out a win against Buffalo. Geno Smith started and won with the Jets while Mark Sanchez sulks and throws dirty looks in the general direction of Rex Ryan. Oakland looked alright, but Indy beat them anyway (yay, Indy!) San Francisco and Green Bay decided to reenact WrestleMania as Kaep and the Niners took out the pack. The Giants lost what had to be one of the crappiestly executed games in history to the Dallas Cowboys, while Eli's brother, Peyton reminded everybody that he is Peyton "Frickin" Manning as he spanked the World Champion Baltimore Ravens with a recorded tying 7 touchdowns in one game. Football is back America!!!!

I spent my week one in New Orleans watch what will surely be Tony Gonzalez's last first game and last game in the Superdome. Tony G. only had 3 receptions for 36 yards with one touchdown, which was scored in the end zone where I was sitting.  Watching TG dunk is a thing of beauty by the way.  Jimmy Graham, also, dunked after his touchdown in the same end zone.  The Saints fans, for those who have never been to a Saints game, were awesome even though I brazenly sported the colors of the enemy with my Tony Gonzalez jersey.  I was bombarded with "Who Dats" from the time I parked my car until the time I returned to it.  The game came down to the last play as Matt Ryan locked on Tony Gonzalez in the end zone.  It was tipped by the Saints Kenny Vaccaro, then tipped by Gonzalez and picked by Roman Harper.  You can hear the pain in my voice as Harper comes down with the ball.

By the way, to those Falcons fans who claim that Tony Gonzalez should have been in training camp instead of "chilling with the iPad," what's the excuse for the other Falcons?  Get off, TG's back. He admitted he made mistakes during the game, but so did every one else including Matt Ryan who can apparently only target players with 10 players hanging off them, and in case you missed it, he was in training camp.  Julio was open in the corner pocket...I'm just saying...

My CHIEFS WON!!! Okay, okay, I know it was the first game, I know that it was Jacksonville, but they held the Jaguars to only a safety! There may be some hope there in the land of BBQ!  I hope they brought a little of that magic back to KC as they take on Romo and the Boys this weekend in the land of the Chiefs.

Last week was not good to Diana Dishes. Sadly, I start the year in a hole with a measly 7-9.  Let's see if I can do better than that.
