Welcome back, everybody! Opening with Morgan, seeing Gavin's dead image telling Morgan that he was supposed to. To do what? Then, Morgan here's horns, and the rest of the crew blow horns to signal the influx. Ezekiel and Carol have to convince young Henry to stay put while the rest go out to defend the Hilltop. This older lady Hilltopper is being condescending to Siddiq questioning his every action. He finally puts her in her place as she tells him that she likes him. They go to commercial as the Saviors are about to reach the gate.

The Saviors are welcomed with spikes, but they don't notice at first, but now they do.  Maggie Rhee introduces herself to Simon. Simon tells her that Negan received her package. She tells Simon she has 38 men and 38 bullets, and she is willing to use them. He tells them that they are on their own. He basically says screw the Saviors she has. Gregory tells her did she really think it would work. She says it will. Dwight tries to convince Simon that Negan may still be there. Up comes Daryl with guns blazing. The Saviors follow Daryl in and all Hell has broken loose. Guns from the Hilltop Side, and guns and arrows from the Saviors. Siddiq comes out to help Carol save on of the Hilltoppers. Daryl sees Dwight with Simon. Somebody is down, but I can't see who, it may be Tara, and Maggie has given the fall back signal. Lights are out, and everything is quiet. Simon adn his crew are coming out in the open without being able to see anything. They are trying to surround the house. Simon tells Dwight that they will be making a "house call." It was a set up. As soon as the Saviors get close, lights come on, and they are surrounded as the Hilltop starts shooting; the Saviors try to retreat, but Rick and his crew come from the outside. Meanwhile, Gavin is acting like Lori's ghost and harassing Morgan during the fight. Some of the Saviors still manage to escape as Rick and Maggie chase them away from the gate. Maggie said she wanted to kill them all, especially Negan. Rick agrees with her. Rick tells Maggie that Negan wasn't there because he tried to kill him, for which she thanks him.

Tara was scratched by the arrows. Tara believes that Dwight tried to save her life. Daryl, however, does not trust Dwight. Michonne and Rick are finally alone together. He's trying to open up a window for the kids, but I believe it's just to keep busy. He's been cut, too. He's telling Michonne how he tried to take out Negan by himself. Maggie cuts the young Savior loose to bury "his people" who he claims are no longer his people. Dianne tells Maggie she's a good leader. Maggie isn't sure because of the people who died, but not Negan. Carol saved her Tobin's life for now. He asks if Carol is going to stay after the fight. She says she doesn't know. The end of the fight just gives them one day. There are no guarantees. Why does Henry have this gun?

Siddiq offers to treat Rick's wounds. Do not send us astray after them, Siddiq tells him was the end of a prayer for the dead that he was taught. Who is this? Hilltopper telling Maggie she is a better leader than Gregory who was all for himself.  Everybody is sleeping in the mansion. What's happening to Tobin? Dude, Tobin turned hella quick, and just killed the watcher, and the doctor lady. Now, he is on his way to the house with the Walkers he has made. The other sown up dude who was talking to Maggie has turned into a walker, too. How freaking soundly do these people sleep?!! People are about to die.

Henry has the gun at the pen. Henry didn't believe that Gavin killed his brother. Gregory trying to talk the kid into giving him the gun. Henry doesn't trust him. Tobin and his crew are taking out folks left and right. They are doing amputations on the floor. Oh, Henry has his eye on the real killer, but he has opened the gate and is now inside the pen. He is threatening to kill them all if Ben's killer doesn't step forward, when a zombie attacks one of the Saviors! Henry is so stupid, now the Saviors and Gregory are free with a gun. Henry went all Carl the wrong way. More the Carl getting Dale killed stupid.

Well, many people died during this fight. Carol realizes it's Tobin, and she puts him down. They realized that Negan wanted to injure them with the walker blood so they would turn. Why is Siddiq fighting by himself? The young Savior tells her what Henry did, and that the others ran away. They can't find Henry. Why is Gavin bothering Morgan? Maggie is thinking of the cost of fighting Negan as they look at their filling cemetery. Sigh, until next week...

Ugh, Negan starting the show. I hate this dude and Simon. Must we start at the Sanctuary. Dwight and Negan confrontation on tap. Dwight feeding him a lie. NEgan buying the line of garbage, and telling him to get ready for battle. They are headed to Hilltop to give wounds to make them turn. No head shots, and don't kill them. Not that Simon is known for following direction. Simon tells Dwight that he is to ride with him per Negan's orders. Scene ends with Negan in his black Charger with Lucille riding shot gun in a bucket of walker guts as he tells her how beautiful she is. I'm really sick of this dude.

Rick and Michonne are walking through the gates at Hilltop, which is starting to resemble a shanty town with all of the tents. Aww, Judith is reunited with her father. Daryl and Rick exchange heads up before Rick goes to the graveyard. Daryl rolls in talking about how unfair about the people who are here and gone. Daryl apologizes for the Sanctuary hit. They both agree its time to fight. Rick tells Daryl he's okay, and they they well be okay. He thanks Daryl for getting every body to Hilltop. Maggie asks Rosita if he will come from back from this. Rosita says no, we just keep going. They agree that it won't be over until Negan is dead. Simon asks Dwight what he thinks of this road trip. Simon does not believe that this will "warning" will not work. Dwight says he is not paid to think. Dwight says that Rick, the Widow, and the King don't scare, which means he thinks this will not work, too. Someone has left a set a crates asking for phonographs, and they will offer the key to their future. Michonne and Rosita agree to take the records. Rick has spotted the Saviors caravan and more specifically Negan.

Simon sees the SUV coming does nothing, and Rick hits Negan and gets him away from the caravan. The Saviors want to check on Negan, but Simon says they block the road while he and Dwight go and check on Negan. Rick has caused Negan to wreck and over turn his car, and is wasting bullets shooting at Negan has escaped to an abandoned building, and both are followed by walkers, and Rick is now out of bullets. Rick throws his ax at Negan who falls and is dangling on the edge of staircase. He goes for Negan's fingers, and Negan falls, but you know Negan is like the Coyote. He's gonna get back up.

Who are these Hipsters Maggie, Michonne, and Enid are meeting with. Who is this Glenn Close wanna be named Georgie. This woman is wearing a seersucker suit jacket and pearl earrings. The woman is preaching goodness, but Maggie and Enid aren't buying it. Maggie wants the Hipsters to come to Hilltop with them. Rick and Negan are still insulting each other in the dark. Negan doesn't understand "Rick's problem" in letting him try to "help them." He says in honor of Carl he will lower their take to 25%, and Rick gets to be his janitor. Rick tells Negan that he doesn't trust them after he wiped Jadis's people. Uh-oh, Simon, somebody is in trouble, and Rick now has the gut covered Lucille.

TOO MANY COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!!

Simon and Dwight discussing wanting to kill Negan. This is not going to end well. Simon wants to team with Dwight and move on from Negan. They've found the "accident," and all I can say is that this cannot end well for Simon. They are contemplating staying and looking for Negan, or go back and start new with the Saviors. This is when Dwight decides to take a smoke break, wait a minute...he sets Negan's car on fire, and he and Simon are walking away. Hey, Jerry. Michonne still believes that they should honor their vow, and she tells Enid to stand down. She tells Maggie that things don't always work our, but this is not what Carl wanted them to do. Rick tells Negan he can't save anyone because he doesn't care about anything but that bat, and Rick declares he will let Negan kiss Lucille goodbye before Rick sets the bat on fire.

AGAIN, TOO MANY COMMERCIALS!!!!!

Rick is fighting Walkers and Negan with the burning Lucille. Negan calls Rick a psychopath who's going to get them both killed. Rick says as long as Negan goes first. Negan has escaped. Maggie agrees to abide by the terms. They exchange the records for the crates. Georgie gives her a book on how to build up the Hilltop. Enid tells Michonne about Natanya. Michonne tells her that there has to be something after the fight with the Saviors. Dwight asks his men, who they are. They say they are still Negan. He says they need to keep to the job at hand. Simon has decided to erase the Hilltop for Negan. Oh...Negan didn't escape. Jadis has him at gunpoint, and she knocks him out!!! Wow...

Opening with Negan's people looking for Gabriel and the Doctor, and Daryl is leading the rest of the Alexandrians on their way to Hilltop and overhears the Saviors. Tara allows a walker to attack Dwight. The Doctor and Gabriel are trying to figure out how to get to Hilltop. Gabriel is so sick that he can barely see, a walker is slowly creeping up on them, and of course, the car won't crank.

Gabe and he Doctor took care of the Walker, but Gabriel is losing his site and getting sicker, and hearing bells. They find a house. These are some messed up looking walkers tonight. Tara is still wants to kill Dwight. Rosita and Daryl are against. Rosita especially after losing Carl. Morgan, Carl, and Henry have made it to Hilltop. Henry is ready to kill the Savior that killed his brother. Jerry has made it to Hilltop as well. Morgan thinks they should tell Henry which Savior killed his brother. Carol does not agree and thinks Morgan has issues, too. How is it that Maggie is still not showing? Oh, Negan is not happy and is interrogating Eugene. Eugene is still feigning ignorance, even though he asked about Alexandria. He is about make Eugene in charge of an outpost. In this case, the factory to make bullets. He will have access to women and wine. Gabriel is trying to read the post left by the final owner who knew how to work a H.A.M. radio and was trying to reach people. The former owner, however, is tied to his bed surrounded by empty pill bottles with a plastic bag on his head.

Dwight tells Daryl and the others, that Negan did not want to go through the swamp because it's to dangerous. Dwight tells them that he is there to help them beat Negan, because if he goes back Negan is going to put his head on a pike. Daryl decides that they are going to try the swamps, even though Tara thinks its a bad idea. They are running out of food at the Hilltop and may not make it to the end of the week. Dr. Carlson tells Gabriel he needs to rest, but Gabriel has found some pills. The pills are antibiotics that Gabriel needs. Dwight tells Daryl that everything he did was for Sherry who helped Daryl to escape before she did. Rosita and Scott (I finally found out Kenric Green's name) volunteer to help Daryl get rid of the Swamp Walkers.

Gregory and Maggie meeting at their "prison." Maggie tells him give her a reason to kill him. One of the Saviors asks for some free time out of the pen. Maggie refuses and tells them they won't be getting food either. Rosita stepped on a walker. This reminds me of the sullen swamp in The Divine Comedy.  Siddiq and Daryl are clearing walkers. Tara volunteers Dwight to kill a few walkers who has entered their safe zone. Gabriel's fever has broken, and he accidentally breaks a piggy bank which contains keys and a map. Dwight apologizes for Denise. Tara wants to kill him, and she shoots at him, which is of course a bad idea. This can only end badly. Of course, they are right by a group of Saviors looking for Gabriel and the Doc. The Doc and Gabriel are looking for the car; Gabe reads the sign that was making the noise, and tries to warn the doc, but it is too late. The Doc has stepped into a bear trap, and a walker is coming upon him. Man, always, one step forward, two steps back...

The Doc tries to fight them off; he kills two, but blind Gabiel has to kill the last one, which he unbelievably does. The Saviors are about to go to the swamp, but Dwight gives himself up to the Saviors. Thanks, Tara. Daryl is pissed at Tara for letting Dwight get away, but they are on their way to Hilltop. Back to the Doc and Gabriel, they make it to the Jeep only to get captured by the Saviors, who for some stupid reason kill the Doctor and take Gabriel back.

Daryl and his crew have made it to Hilltop, and once again has to give Carol and Maggie bad news about a death-this time Carl's. Enid is devastated. Morgan tells Henry that Gavin killed his brother and he got Gavin so. Siddiq thanks Maggie for her hospitality. He volunteers to work in the infirmary. Flash to the bullet factory where Eugene. Negan brings in Gabriel and proclaims that Carlson helped him to escape. Negan wants Gabriel to work at the bullet factory. He wants Eugene to speed up the process, while that can't happen, he has given Negan an idea about attacking the Hilltop with catapults of body parts. Maggie is going to put the Saviors to work. Gregory tell Maggie they should evacuate. There is an announcement that Rick has arrived at Hilltop. Negan is going to using bio-waste from the walkers to fight against the Hilltop. Oh, boy...I'm sick of Negan...

Until next week...

Remember, I'm just writing what I see and reacting.

Michonne and Rick have just finished burying Carl. They taking a look at what is left of Alexandria. For a moment Rick thinks about leaving the gun Carl used to kill himself hanging on the cross. When Michonne returns to their home, she breaks down when she sees Carl and Judith's handprints. They try to put out the fire at the gazebo, but give up. As they leave Alexandria, Rick asks Michonne what did Carl mean. Did he just want them to give up? Michonne suggests reading the letters. Rick's not ready, but Michonne finds that Carl wrote a letter to Negan. He tells her he needs to talk to Jadis, but Michonne is not sure. And of course, there is a trap. Michonne and Rick are trapped in the dump pit surrounded by what looks like what used to be the heapsters.

Negan...ugh, I'm so sick of him. He's looking for Rick and the crew. He realizes that Carl played him. They don't know what's happened to Gavin, and they think all is well at Hilltop, and Simon is not happening. He wants Simon to go and turn the trash people to their side. Simon thinks that the Saviors should cut their losses considering the Hilltop, Alexandria, Kingdom, etc. won't learn their lesson. Simon thinks the Savior way has not been working well lately. OH, a delivery from the Hilltop you say? Maggie's present has arrived. Dean's dead, and Simon is ticked because those are his people. Negan tells him he will stand will stand down and do his job...

Well, the fish people have Enid and Aaron, and they are going to allow Cindy to decide what to do with them. Well, that was quick. Cindy decides they live, but tells them don't come back. Aaron has decided that he will stay behind, but Enid needs to go tell Maggie not to come there. So, Enid is on her own to return to the Hilltop.

Now, to Simon. Simon is at the dump heap. This must be before Rick and Michonne arrived. He tells Jadis that she needs to apologize for helping Rick. Jadis said no deal with Rick that she delivered him to them. Simon says BS, but he says that Negan wants them to go back to their deal, and all is forgiven. There is a condition that they give up their guns. Heapsters don't want to give up the guns. He tells them that they will protect them if need be. Jadis gives up the gun. There is a helipad and solar panels at the dump? What was it? Simon wants to know, too. Now, he feels that they should apologize. She tell him there is remorse, and he shoots one of her people. She says it again, and he shoots another. Then, he kills all of her people. Simon done messed up. He lies to Negan, who has just received a call from Rick via CB.

Oh, so Jadis can talk like a normal person. She said that they made this into a canvas. Rick says he is done with Jadis who is sitting on the heap in a gown. Rick doesn't help her get out. He says that she is useless. She calls her people to her. She has a Chipper, and she is chopping She chops them all up into a pile of sludge. She alone is left at the dump. She had food hidden. What else is she hiding in the dump?

Rick says that he didn't want Jadis dead, he just wanted her gone. Now, he has left with the letters Carl wrote to him and Negan and the CB. He reads Negan's first. Tells him that Carl asked them both to stop it. Rick says that he is going to kill Negan. Negan is visibly shaken over Carl's death. Negan blames Rick for Carl's death. He tells him that he should shut this down. Negan tells Rick that he failed as a leader and a father, and he should give up because he has already lost.

Until next week, y'all...
