Good news for my Chiefs is that it is a bye week. There were rumors abound that the Chiefs were contemplating the firing of head coach Todd Haley. Then, there was the Adam Schefter comment that the Chiefs should trade Dwayne Bowe, which stirred the ire and multiple side-eyes from Chiefs fans. Ah, the dilemmas surrounding a 2-3 team. . .
Breaking news: Shawne Merriman is out for this week's game against the Giants. I'm still a fan, and I hope he can find a little of his old mojo, but I'm beginning to think that maybe he should hang it up before he does permanent damage to those legs. I'm thinking he could take Rodney Harrison's place on Football Night in America.
In other news, Drew Brees is freaking awesome. I love watching Drew Brees and Darren Sproles play, so much so, that they has me contemplating becoming a Saints fan (not really, it would be a conflict of interest considering Tony Gonzalez plays for the Atlanta Falcons).
TIM TEBOW IS STARTING!!! TIM TEBOW IS STARTING!!! I'm not really excited, I totally don't care, and I hope he loses because he is a Bronco. Have y'all seen Brady Quinn's career? I hear he's looking for it. Raiders, you are back on my hatedar, too.
Speaking of #88, he was held out of practice earlier this week with an elbow problem. Here's hoping it's better today. Tony Gonzalez's reception count is now at 1096. He is five from tying Cris Carter, six from tying Marvin Harrison, and seven from taking up residence all alone at number two all time behind Jerry Rice, which is not a very bad spot at all.
Well, last week I went 9-4 with my picks (good job helping a sister out Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New York Jets). My record to 53-23. Fantasy fans don't forget this week's bye teams are Denver, Tennessee, Kansas City, Arizona, San Diego, Seattle. So here are my week 6 picks...

Wow, you're taking the 49ers over the Lions? Tough one to call for me. However, it's been since the early 90's since that match up has even mattered. Harbaugh will be Coach of the Year if he can get nine wins out of this team.
